Founded in 2019 by Krystal A. Phillips, KAPHILL is a lifestyle brand born from the belief that luxury should feel personal, not performative.

The Woman Behind KAPHILL
Krystal A. Phillips is a Jamaican-American designer and storyteller, based in New York, with a lifelong passion for the artistry of dressing well. With over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry—including roles at Alexander Wang, Rent the Runway, and Macy’s—Krystal brings a rare blend of technical mastery and emotional vision to everything she creates.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, her foundation in production and design is matched only by her deeper calling: to create a world where women feel seen, celebrated, and wrapped in intentional beauty.
KAPHILL was born in 2019, but its roots go back further—to the rich style of her grandmother, the sharp tailoring of her father, and the expressive culture of her Jamaican heritage. After co-founding her first brand with her sister in 2014, Krystal stepped into her own story, building a label shaped by love, joy, and community.
For Krystal, clothing isn’t just fashion—it’s memory, it’s legacy, it’s the way we carry ourselves through life. As a mother to her daughter Avery, KAPHILL is also a generational tribute: a quiet rebellion against invisibility, and a radiant celebration of living fully, boldly, and beautifully.
